As he approached, she could see the golden glint in his eyes, a sign of his werewolf nature. It was both mesmerizing and intimidating. When he finally stood before her, she felt a rush of emotions she couldn’t quite understand.

“I’ve finally found you,” he said, his voice low and husky. “Mate.”

The word echoed in Renée’s mind. Mate. She had heard stories of werewolf mates, but she never thought she would be one. She looked into his eyes, searching for answers, but all she found was an overwhelming sense of belonging.

Before she knew it, he had pulled her into his arms, and she melted into his embrace. She felt safe and protected, like nothing in the world could harm her as long as he was there.

“I can’t believe that you’re real,” she whispered, her voice barely audible.

He turned to glare at the other males in the room, a silent warning that did not go unnoticed. Renée could see the fear in their eyes, and she realized that she was now a part of a world she never knew existed.

As she looked up at him, she knew that her life was about to change forever. She was no longer just Renée, the abused girl. She was Renée, the mate of the alpha king-to-be, and her life was about to become a lot more complicated.
