As he stepped closer, his presence engulfed me, his hand reaching out to gently stroke my cheek. The touch sent a jolt of electricity through me, and I couldn’t help but lean into it, my eyes fluttering closed for a moment.

“You should be running, Zera,” his voice was a low, gravelly whisper, sending a shiver down my spine. “The most sensible thing to do is run from someone like me.”

I knew he was right. Everything about him screamed danger, but I couldn’t bring myself to heed his warning. There was something about him, something magnetic and intoxicating that drew me in despite my better judgment.

“I don’t want to run,” I replied, my voice barely above a whisper. I could feel the heat of his body so close to mine, and it was intoxicating. “I… I want to stay.”

His lips brushed against mine, sending a jolt of desire through me. “Oh, darling, but you should,” he murmured, his breath hot against my skin. “I won’t be like those boys you’ve been with. I won’t stop until I’m buried deep in your mind and soul. You will belong to me.”

His words should have scared me, but instead, they ignited a fire within me. I knew I was playing with fire, but in that moment, all I wanted was to be consumed by it.
