Humanity scrambled to defend itself. The invaders, dubbed “Dwells”, proved to be terrifyingly resilient, their grotesque forms shrugging off conventional weaponry. In a desperate bid for survival, a new paradigm of warriors emerged: the Dungeon Hunters. These brave souls, clad in enchanted armor and wielding potent magics, ventured into the Dwells’ home turf – the Dungeons – to sever the portals at their source.
Dungeon Hunters fell into distinct roles, each crucial for their survival. Knights served as an impenetrable wall, their broadswords carving swathes through the Dwells. Agile Warriors weaved through the chaos, delivering precise strikes. Archers rained down death from afar, while Mages unleashed devastating spells that could turn the tide of battle. Assassins, shrouded in shadows, dealt swift, silent blows. Then there were the Supporters, often considered the least glamorous but no less vital cog in the machine. They provided buffs, heals, and vital tactical support, keeping the Hunters alive long enough to complete their mission.
Lu Benwei, a young man unexpectedly pulled from his own world, found himself thrust into this maelstrom. To his immense disappointment, fate (or perhaps a cruel twist of the dimensional tear) deemed him unfit for the more “glorious” roles. He was assigned the role of a Supporter.
