In the distant aftermath of an apocalyptic event that befell Earth, leaving it in ruins and shrouded in an oppressive atmosphere of despair, the remnants of humanity struggled to survive. Thousands of years had passed since the cataclysm, and the once-great achievements of civilization lay forgotten, obscured by the relentless grip of the Specters. These horrifying beings, possessing formidable powers beyond comprehension, had descended upon the world, obliterating any semblance of progress and reducing the planet to a desolate wasteland.

As the boy grew and adapted to the unforgiving environment of the Dregs, he discovered within himself an inherent strength that set him apart. Eventually, he achieved a feat that seemed inconceivable in such a bleak world – passing an exam for one of the most prestigious jobs in existence: a Zephyx Extractor. However, fate played a cruel trick on the boy. Unbeknownst to him, he had already acquired a spectral power in the past, rendering him ineligible for the coveted position of Zephyx Extractor. Disheartened by this unforeseen obstacle, he found himself at a crossroads, grappling with the limitations imposed by his own history.
