Khloe, a 28-year-old woman, returns home after receiving news of her mother’s passing, only to find her family in disarray. Her eldest sister’s drug addiction has worsened, her two younger siblings are struggling with college, and Khloe feels the weight of responsibility fall on her shoulders once again. Despite her mother’s lack of warmth towards her in the past, Khloe takes charge of the funeral arrangements and tries to hold her family together.

However, just as Khloe is about to return to her life away from her dysfunctional family, she is kidnapped from her childhood home. Men break in, blindfold her, and throw her into the trunk of a car, leaving her to wonder what fate awaits her.

To her surprise, Khloe discovers that her kidnapper is her long-lost great-uncle Jan, the head of a large mafia family in Poland. Jan, grieving the loss of his only son, sought out the closest blood relative to take over the family business.
