The Fall of a Guardian Blurb

It’s past 10 PM when she walks along the narrow street to go home. As she walks on the sidewalk, she passes by a strange, nearby abandoned building near the rainforest, not too far from where she is. She stops when she notices something unusual in the sky. At first, she thinks she is hallucinating, but then she realizes she is seeing a light in the sky that is too painful to stare at yet incredibly glamorous.

Moments later, the light vanishes, replaced by a faint cry that grows louder, sounding like a man in unimaginable pain. Gathering her courage, she slowly walks toward the direction of the cry. Her legs carry her to the back of the abandoned building, where she hears heavy breathing behind a big tree, causing her heart to pound.

“Is anybody here?” she asks as she walks closer to the tree, feeling something swift pass by her. She can’t identify it because it moves too quickly.

When she reaches the big narra tree, she peeks around it, her heart pounding harder. She finds nothing behind the tree except blood on the ground and beautiful, soaked, silky gray feathers.
