Victoria, known as Tori to those close to her, had just graduated from nursing school and landed her dream job at the prestigious Hidden Falls Medical Center’s burn trauma unit. Excited to embark on this new chapter of her life with her best friend, Tori’s world took an unexpected turn when her boss asked her to work with a local young man injured in a house fire. To her surprise, Tori learned that the young man was the next Alpha to the Hidden Falls Pack. As part of her assignment, she would be living in the packhouse during her stay. This brought back memories of her childhood, particularly when her mother had taken her away from her father, an Alpha himself, due to infidelities and her mother’s desire to keep her away from the pack life.
From a young age, Tori had known she possessed a special ability – that of a Genesis wolf, a healer wolf. However, she had never been able to shift, instead using her healing abilities to help others. Unbeknownst to her, her father had been searching for her for seventeen years, sending out his wolves to look for her in every town and among other packs.
By sheer chance, Tori’s father’s Beta, Victor, and Gamma, Eric, stumbled upon her. Victor, who had known Tori when she was just a child, was excited to find her and bring her home. However, his plans were complicated when Eric, who happened to be Tori’s best friend’s fiancé and mate, revealed that Tori would be going to another pack, accompanying her as her assistant.
As Tori worked with the injured Alpha, who turned out to be her fated mate, she discovered more about herself and the extent of her abilities. These abilities, far more powerful than she had ever imagined, drew the attention of a greedy Alpha who would stop at nothing to possess her, even after rejecting her.
Torn between her past and her future, Tori found herself at a crossroads, unsure of where her path would lead and who she could trust. Would she embrace her destiny and the love of her fated mate, or would she succumb to the dangers lurking in the shadows?
