To her surprise, Tori learned that the young man was the next Alpha to the Hidden Falls Pack. As part of her assignment, she would be living in the packhouse during her stay. This brought back memories of her childhood, particularly when her mother had taken her away from her father, an Alpha himself, due to infidelities and her mother’s desire to keep her away from the pack life.

However, she had never been able to shift, instead using her healing abilities to help others. By sheer chance, Tori’s father’s Beta, Victor, and Gamma, Eric, stumbled upon her. Victor, who had known Tori when she was just a child, was excited to find her and bring her home. However, his plans were complicated when Eric, who happened to be Tori’s best friend’s fiancé and mate, revealed that Tori would be going to another pack, accompanying her as her assistant.

As Tori worked with the injured Alpha, who turned out to be her fated mate, she discovered more about herself and the extent of her abilities.
